Aim High Institute

“I’ll guide you through the process of how I established my own practice. Peace Health Clinic was launched in June 2020, right in the midst of the pandemic. The concept for the practice emerged just a few months before the pandemic hit. At that time, I was already participating in a mentorship program, which I decided to continue. It’s important to remember that when you have a ‘jar,’ it will eventually be filled. So, where is your ‘jar’? For me, it was the ongoing mentorship program and the fact that I had already registered the business, having invested some money into it. I didn’t let the pandemic deter me, although there was a slight delay in preparing the building due to construction issues.
I developed a business plan detailing our objectives, strategies, and financial forecasts. After analyzing the local demand, I discovered that most residents in the city have insurance, so a strictly cash-based model wasn’t suitable at the time. The initial startup costs were underestimated due to space considerations, but the budget was later adjusted to accommodate the demand for equipment, staffing, and operational expenses. To establish an online presence, I hired a professional to create a functional website, which helped generate leads. We also launched Facebook and Instagram pages. Word of mouth played a significant role in our marketing strategy. We established legal and licensing plans, standard operating procedures for clinical and administrative tasks, and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of care. Over time, we ensured continuous evaluation and improvement of operations based on patient feedback and performance metrics.”
The clinic eventually opened, focusing on COVID testing and vaccinations, which helped generate revenue and increase visibility as people came for testing. Notably, the building features a drive-through, which we initially planned to close off but decided to keep open. This decision proved beneficial for conducting COVID tests without requiring patients to enter the building. We have been delivering medical services to the city of Grand Prairie and surrounding areas, offering annual physical exams, chronic disease management, sick visits, onsite bloodwork, IV hydration therapy, weight management, and other healthcare services. Additionally, we provide preceptor opportunities for aspiring Medical Assistants, Licensed Vocational Nurses, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Doctor of Nursing Practice students. Numerous religious organizations, community groups, and healthcare facilities have benefited from the complimentary services provided by Peace Health Clinic over the years.
Peace Health Clinic continues to grow, achieving multiple successes from patient satisfaction to increased revenue. Four years on, we are still thriving. The key takeaways are: have a ‘jar,’ find a mentor, and don’t let anything hold you back. Are you ready to embark on this rewarding journey with some guidance?”
